The 2022 Hummer EV Edition 1 Pickup (~$140,000 CAD, $110,295 USD) and the 2022 Rivian R1T ($90,000 CAD starting, $67,500 USD starting) are lined up for a drag race at Willow Springs International Raceway. The over 9000 lb Hummer EV has a whopping 1000 hp and 11,500 lb ft of torque (while being a bit cheeky). The much lighter Rivian has a strong 835 hp and 908 lb ft of torque, but has the same claimed 0-60 time as the Hummer. 3 seconds flat. What will happen?
