At the Consumer Electronics Show, revealing a fully electric, Level 3 autonomous, fully operational one-off SUV that could prove a significant milestone for Canada’s EV and battery manufacturing sectors. That’s certainly the hope of Volpe and the numerous Canadian companies that worked together to create this made-in-Canada vehicle. There are no less than 25 all-new technologies incorporated into the vehicle. The battery is a 82.5 kWh lithium-ion pack that drives a dual-motor, all-wheel drive system. Range estimates are still be calculated, and its expected zero to 100 km/h time will be in the 3.5-second range.

“It is, in my opinion, the biggest industrial collaboration project in Canadian automotive history,” said Volpe. “We had more than 50 suppliers, who in some product categories compete, and unrelated companies working on the same project at the same time for the same date under the same premise.”
