Don’t think #nascar is going straight to electric-only power soon. Roger Penske, the owner of back-to-back Cup series champion says that hybrid technology will be adopted by the stock series before a pure EV power unit will race at the top level.
Not so clear on this audio is Roger referring to an “ICE engine” (internal combustion engine) not a “nice” engine.
His opinion mirrors passenger vehicle sales in the U.S. where the love affair with EVs have cooled off in favor of hybrid power which does require lengthy recharging coming along with range anxiety.
