Manila to Mindanao. The Tesla Homebound Drive is Complete!
– Left Cubao with 100%, arrived in Lucena with 71%. Met with friends.
– Charged in SM Lucena up to 79% – we quickly learned that SM chargers are only as fast as the charger we have at home. Great for casual top-ups but not for long trips.
– Arrived in Naga City with 25%

Day 2:
– Charged in an EVRO/ACM charger in BYD Camsur up to 100%. 45 minutes while we wait for cousins to wake up. We watched “House” in the car.
– Arrived in Legazpi (Mayon viewing) with 75%
– Arrived in Matnog, Sorsogon with 50%
– Rolled on Lite Ferries 6 (watched more episodes of “House” on the Tesla screen while waiting to board)
Day 3:
– 10 hours at sea. Rolled off at Bogo, Cebu. Spent around 14K for the ferry fees.
– Charged at Prince Express Inn, Bogo Cebu – 46 to 100% while taking our breakfast. Another ACM/Evro charger. Which I knew was not free, but my card has not been deducted yet.
Day 4: Just toured Cebu City
– A casual top up in SM Seaside while having lunch with cousins.
– The final charge: At night, we charged from 38% to 100% at ACM/EVRO in BYD Cebu City for 1hr 20min before we went to bed. Felt like another movie night with Sharlene. Now we pay P1,400
Day 5:
– Arrived at Mainit port, Santander Cebu with 69%. Perfect Yin-Yang number.
– Rolled on the 6pm Lite Ferries trip (P6,600)
– Rolled off Dapitan City by 11:30pm. This boat route is usually very rocky.
Day 6:
– Arrived home. Misamis Occidental with 42%. The perfect Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy number.
I’m home by rolling through all those roads. Magical feeling.
Total cost of Ferries: P20,600
Total cost of charging: P1,400 – Since almost all of the charging stations are free for now.
Plus the rooms and food, approximately 30K total.
Sharlene drove 60%, I drove 40%.
Merl Box drove us around Cebu.
And the car drove itself for a total of 20 minutes in multiple locations.
We were in a convoy with cousins Ian and Aileene who were in their Mazda BT-50
The PPF by Limitless Garage probably saved our paint from lots of pebbles.
