Charged EVs | Volvo to build electric trucks using fossil-free steel

Volvo Trucks has begun manufacturing of professional quality 44-tonne (GCW) electrical vehicles partly constructed from “fossil-free” metal produced by the Swedish metal producer SSAB.

SSAB claims to make use of a brand new know-how that depends on fossil-free electrical energy and hydrogen. The corporate estimates that the brand new course of eliminates some 90% of CO₂ emissions from metal manufacturing.
