Each of the mobile charging stations from Gotion has a capacity of 182 kWh, allowing them to charge 4-5 vehicles before requiring a recharge. Charging an EV battery from 30% to 100% takes between 40 minutes and one hour, the company said.

The stations are designed to operate at temperatures ranging from -20° C to 50° C and at altitudes of up to 2,000 meters. Depending on the available power source, the stations can be recharged via a 60 kW DC charger in just over three hours, or via a 22 kW AC charger in around nine hours.

The chargers are portable, flexible, and do not require fixed installations, allowing for the charging of EVs in locations without permanent charging infrastructure. They can be summoned via remote control to autonomously move at a speed of 5 km/h to the location where the EV is parked. This flexibility enables the rapid expansion of charging infrastructure without the need for lengthy and costly installations. The mobile charging stations are also useful for various events and locations where charging demand is temporary or infrastructure is still under development.

“We currently have additional mobile charging stations ready, which we plan to deploy in coordination with the Government Office of the Slovak Republic. We believe that such solutions will contribute to the faster adoption of electromobility in Slovakia,” said Steven Cai, Chairman of GIB and President of Gotion EMEA.
