The company is building charging points with power levels of up to 400 kW along intercity roads as well as in and around cities.

“By the end of the year, we will open our first five stations, with a total of 36 EV charging points, in Stockholm, Kristianstad Vä, Skillingaryd and Munkedal,” said Nima CEO Marcus Landelin. “In addition, we have taken investment decisions for an additional 114 charging points that are planned to open in mid-2024.”

The inner-city chargers will nearly triple the number of ultra-fast EV charging points available in Stockholm. They are designed to service, in particular, EV owners without access to overnight charging, and commercial transport applications such as taxis.
