ZeBeyond, a new UK-based software company, has released its Electrified Propulsion Optimisation Process (ePOP) platform to help manufacturers and suppliers make data-driven decisions in developing EV designs.
At the 2023 European Automotive Decarbonization & Sustainability Summit, ZeBeyond demonstrated its software as a service simulation platform, which is designed to “allow users to solve the performance, profit and sustainability equation while allowing for shifting investment factors.” ePOP, a downloadable application, is designed to help manufacturers establish their electric drive unit strategies and screen their designs by analyzing hundreds of thousands of combinations against cost, efficiency, CO2 footprint, mass and range across numerous vehicle drive cycles, types and segments.
The company says that it can help manufacturers lower their carbon footprint by analyzing rare earth minerals or substituting materials based on performance and prices in early product selection.
“Our data-driven tool set enables all parts of the business to communicate in a common language, allowing for clear and objective decision-making,” said ZeBeyond CTO Bence Falvey.
