The family electric hatchback class is hotting up. The Kia Soul was one of the few that sat in this space a few years ago but things are changing.
The ID.3 is Volkswagen’s first all-out attack on the electric car sector with a Golf-sized hatchback that has various versions, all with decent ranges, and a cool looking interior and exterior.
Meanwhile, the e-C4 is a little different as it’s the electric version of the C4 which comes in petrol and diesel guises. But the C4 was designed to take electric power from the outset, so it’s pretty much as bespoke as the ID.3.
And then there’s Kia’s second-generation Soul EV that’s been on sale for a couple of years now but is still a very tempting prospect.
