Continuing comparisons in audio quality with the RCF HD 32-A, JBL PRX615m, and EV ZXA5.

Notes:
PRX615m deeper bass response than RCF HD 32-A in boost mode
EV ZXA5 bass response is about same as PRX615m. The EV bass response filled the room better while the 615m seemed to be narrower. This is most likely due to 615m’s rear firing port.
The EV ZXA5 has very noticeable box rattle in deep heavy bass notes (plastic box)
The EV ZXA5 and RCF HD 32-A have better mid and highs. They had a warmer response than the JBL. EV and RCF have larger compression drivers for the horn. The JBL sounded slightly more muddy in the mid range.
I was able to run the RCF HD 32-A in flat mode at max volume without clipping with song and mixer set with proper gain structure.
The EV is the loudest box; it doesn’t have built in limiter.
We used a Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus mixer
Macbook Pro running Serato Scratch Live internal mode, headphone jack to RCA into channel 1 of Pioneer.
