Until recently, buying an affordable electric vehicle meant weighing up which compromises you’d have to live with. Whether it was space, ride and handling or questionable styling, hardly any EVs offered the complete package without a serious budget.
Now though, MG has replaced its electric ZS with an all-new small SUV which borrows all the best bits of the very good MG 4 but packages sit up in a far less polarising appearance.
Performance and range are on the short side but for many EV owners, the MG S5 ticks all the boxes with very little to dislike.
