Quite soon after the launch of the petrol Citroen C3 hatchback, we’re now driving the electric Citroen eC3. What is this EV like? It’s interesting because a good price is expected so watch the video to know more.
The Citroen eC3 uses a 29.2 kWh lithium ferrous phosphate battery that is good for a 320 km ARAI range figure. This battery is naturally air-cooled but is protected for nail penetration. It can also withstand a wide range of operating temperatures ranging from -10 to 55 degree Celsius. The eC3 can DC fast charge at 30 kW getting from 10 to 80 per cent in 57 minutes, AC charge at 3.3 kWh and charge from a 15A home socket in 10.5 hours.
The Citroen eC3 is powered by a 57PS and 143 Nm electric motor that gets it from 0 to 60 kmph in 6.8s and onto a 107 kmph top speed. The eC3 loses 10mm of ground clearance to 170 kmph although the wheelbase and other dimensions remain unchanged.
Bookings for the Citroen eC3 begin on January 22, 2023 with deliveries in February. The eC3 comes with a 7-year/1.4 lakh km battery warranty, a 5-year/1 lakh electric motor warranty and a 3-year/1.25 lakh km vehicle warranty. We expected the Citroen eC3 to be priced at around Rs 10 to 12 lakh.
