A few months back, I reviewed an electric bike – a cruiser – from the Electric Bike Company (EBC) – a Californian company that builds custom EV bikes from the ground up.
Since that time, I have had the opportunity to ride “Red Dragon Bike” countless times, and one of those occasions was (via ferry ride to Vancouver Island), in the harbour town of Nanaimo.
In addition, I went back to the EBC factory in Newport Beach and saw a range of new models that Sean has added to the lineup. Interesting fact: their various models go by the names Model S, Model X, Model Y, Model C. Sound familiar??
The first time I reviewed the Beach Cruiser, I stated that I considered this bike company to be the bike-equivalent of Tesla – the ‘Tesla’ of bikes. The past 3 months of using the bike every week have simply confirmed that assessment.
This is the Rolls Royce of electric bikes – or, the Tesla of EV bikes if you wish 🙂 . This video covers my excursion to Nanaimo and my second visit to the EBC factory.
